We are NUIA

NUIA’s journey began in 2013, when Tore Meyer and Stephan Odörfer founded 4tiitoo with a clear ambition: to fundamentally rethink how people interact with computers. The idea was simple but far-reaching — technology should adapt to people, not the other way around. This vision gave rise to NUIA: Natural User InterAction.

For more than a decade, we focused on making everyday computer work faster, healthier and more intuitive. NUIA evolved in close collaboration with enterprise users across a wide range of industries and has been deployed by customers in more than 20 countries. This real-world experience shaped a robust enterprise software platform designed around one fundamental question: how can interacting with computers become more natural and effective?

In 2026, NUIA entered a new chapter.

With the founding of NUIA GmbH, the original vision expanded far beyond improving the traditional way people operate PCs. The rise of generative AI creates the opportunity to rethink the computer interface itself.

We believe that eye control and voice interaction, combined with AI, represent the next major step in human-computer interaction.

NUIA brings these capabilities together in one system-wide interaction layer. Through Shared Attention, NUIA understands what users are looking at, what they are saying and the context in which they are working. Instead of navigating software step by step, users can increasingly express their intent naturally and let AI turn that intent into action.

The underlying intelligence can run locally on the device, within the customer’s own infrastructure, or connect to the AI models and enterprise services of their choice. This architecture makes it possible to keep sensitive data where it belongs, enabling privacy-conscious and sovereign AI processing while reducing latency and delivering fast, responsive interaction.

NUIA therefore becomes an open interaction layer between people, applications and a rapidly evolving AI ecosystem — combining enterprise-grade flexibility with the ability to process intelligence directly where work happens. Built for today’s workplace, the same interaction principles can extend into the emerging spatial and immersive computing environments of tomorrow.

Our Mission

Our mission is to make digital work more human in the AI era.

As computers become increasingly intelligent, we believe interaction should become radically simpler and more natural. Instead of people learning how to operate software, technology should understand what people want to achieve.

With NUIA, interaction follows human intent: the eye shows where attention is focused, the voice expresses what should happen, and AI turns that intent into action — across applications and workflows.

By bringing human attention, intent and AI execution together, we are creating a new way of working: faster and more intuitive, with better results, less friction and a healthier digital workplace.

Look. Say. Done.

Tore Meyer

Founder and Managing Director

Together with our team and partners, I focus on turning natural human intent into a seamless way of working with computers. From the beginning, our ambition has been to move beyond tools and interfaces and make interaction feel intuitive and human. My goal is that NUIA understands where I look, what I say, and what I want to achieve as naturally as people do. What drives me is the belief that the mouse once defined an era of computing, and that it is now time to redefine interaction for the AI-driven workplace.

Stephan Odörfer

Founder and Managing Director

My role is to bring organizations and people closer to a new way of working with computers. I want more people to experience how natural interaction can remove friction from everyday work and unlock the real value of AI. My goal is that, one day, we look back at mice and keyboards as relics of another era. What makes this journey special is that Tore and I have been thinking about better human-computer interaction since the early days of graphical user interfaces, long before today’s technology finally made it possible.
