VDMA study lists important factors for Corporate-Startup Collaboration

Aug 20, 2020 2:11:00 PM

For both startups and corporates, collaboration plays a crucial role for innovation. But what should corporates and startups do for a successful partnership?

VDMA (Association of Germans mechanical engineering companies) analyzed the collaboration between startups and its member companies in detail in a larger study - including a successful collaboration project from 4tiitoo and FVA GmbH. While the overall result and key recommendations are listed in the PDF document after the link, our key recommendations are:

  • Customer feedback in early stage – testing the added value and user acceptance before generating large costs on both sides
  • Fixed centralized budget – co-financing by the project executing department to increase the commitment and collaboration
  • Fast initiation process – initiation longer than 6 months leading to inefficient collaborations

In order to learn what needs to be considered for a better collaboration with an engineering company more in detail and get insights about how it worked between 4tiitoo and FVA please read the whitepaper. You can reach it via the link below.
